Opt Out of IDHR Process
Important: Only needed for non-housing cases. Housing cases don't require opt-out before going to court.
Opt Out Request Form (English)
You need: Your IDHR charge number and EEOC charge number (if applicable). If the IDHR charge number includes an 'A', 'E', 'F' or 'L' the charge is cross-filed with the EEOC and the EEOC charge number is needed for the Opt Out Request Form.

Deadline: Must request within 60 days of receiving our information notice.

For charge numbers with CA or SA:
For charge numbers with CF, SF, CE, or SE:
For all housing-related charges
For all other charge types
All forms need: Complainant name, respondent name, charge number, signature, and date.
